Thad Evans, Head Coach, Lake Mills Girls' Basketball

Thad Evans has had a love for basketball that started when he was a small boy living on a farm in rural Joice shooting in the driveway with his father. He progressed through middle school and high school with a lot of size, very slow feet, but also a sharp mind for the game on the floor and a lot of hard work. He finished his senior year at Lake Mills High school averaging 12 points and 8 rebounds per game, often times outworking opponents in the paint for offensive rebounds and putbacks. Thad has now transferred his love of the game into coaching, having started coaching his own daughters, Mary (class of 2015) and Becca (class of 2018) at the youth levels, and relaying that into coaching with the Fire (starting in March 2011) and as Lake Mills' freshman girls's coach (2011-12 season). He strives to teach that hard work and effort, along with basic fundamentals, are they keys to building a good basketball foundation.
